Ok, so as you know, I am a film critic, I run Screenhead.net. Well let me tell you my little story with IMDB. I wrote a review for a movie called Son of Rambow (if you haven’t seen it yet, you should) (Link). Then after I wrote it, I submitted it to be listed on IMDB’s external reviews page for Son Of Rambow. I was happy when it got listed, because I was number 9. Ok, well now, the review is number 106. I would understand if the entire thing was alphabetical but well…it’s not. At the top are the ones that I assume pay IMDB for their position, LA Times, Variety, Village Voice, etc. Then after that are a bunch of sites I have never heard of, Tiscali UK, 353 Haiku Movie Review (?), Draven99’s Musings. Now after this eclectic mix of sites, it starts to get alphabetical, with letter C (?) at number 41. Now can someone explain this system to me? I know my site isn’t the highest trafficed site in the world, but how in hell does IMDB come up with their listing of 41 sites that deserve to be in front of people who were there first? Who’s palm do I have to grease to get where I belong? Anyone?
Well, I am always trying to come up with names for things (Tricycle Films, Escapeware, etc.) and usually I do well, but when I’m at a loss, well…it sucks. IF you are looking for a name for an available domain name, you need to check out PickyDomains.com it costs a fair bit ($50) but if you are trying to start something that will make money eventually, it’s probably worth it. That’s how I got Gadgetite (my as yet un-started gadget blog)
Check it out.

Why do people always start fights about everything. Specifically dumb things like the fight between 360 and PS3, Mac and PC…do people just have fun arguing?
For the record, my position on the two is PS3 and Mac.
